Professional Training Access:
All Mavericks players benefit from a robust year-round training program through our partnership with Playball USA, conveniently located in Mount Prospect. From November through March, players participate in structured, small-group training sessions led by professional coaches, focusing on hitting, pitching, defense, and catching. These sessions provide an extra layer of instruction that enhances player development beyond regular team practices.

From January through March, teams also train weekly at the CCC for team-based instruction, giving players a chance to build chemistry, apply individual skills in a team setting, and prepare for the upcoming season.

In addition to team training, Mavs families enjoy exclusive discounts through Playball on:

• Batting cage memberships
• Private lessons
• Clinics and camps
• Baseball equipment purchases

This partnership allows our players to train locally, consistently, and affordably, with access to some of the top baseball resources and instructors in the area.

Multi-Sport Friendly:
We encourage players to participate in multiple sports and activities. While our focus is on baseball during the spring season, we believe in developing well-rounded athletes and citizens year round.

Since our inception in 1983, the Mavericks have proudly served the Mount Prospect community for over 40 years, creating a lasting impact on countless families and young athletes.

Dedicated Volunteers:
While all of our coaches are volunteers, many bring extensive experience as former players and coaches at the youth, high school, college, and even professional levels. They invest their time and energy year-round—during evenings, weekends, and holidays—to support our players, teams, and community. Their pride in carrying forward the strong tradition of Mavericks baseball is reflected in everything they do.

Facilities & Season Overview

The Mavericks proudly call Friendship Park home. All teams have ample access to the park’s three fields for practices and home games throughout the season. The park is equipped with:

• Field lighting
• Scoreboards
• Batting cage
• Restrooms
• A playground for younger siblings
• Plenty of parking

Each year, our 12U team receives an invite to play in the Cooperstown Tournament, a once-in-a-lifetime baseball experience that creates lasting memories for players and families.
Additional fees and fundraising required.

Teams set their own schedules and typically participate in:

• Local league play
• 2–3 in-area tournaments
• 1 out-of-town tournament (for older age groups starting at 11U)

This structure provides flexibility, strong competition, and a memorable baseball experience for all players.
